QUESTIONS

Sometimes the touches on the screen do not increment the bead count. Why is that ?

To prevent accidental multiple touches being recorded, the application checks if two consequtive touches are atleast one (1) second apart.

How do I support the beads for my tradition ?

Hindu and Buddhist traditions typically use a rosary with 108 beads, and can be expressed simply as a bead sequence of "108". Islamic traditions typically use a rosary made up of 100 beads with three sections, that can be expressed as a bead sequence of "33,33,34". Catholic traditions typically use a rosary of 60 beads with multiple sections that can be expressed as "1,1,3,1,10,1,10,1,10,10,1,10"

If you cannot express the rosary used in your tradition as a comma separated list of numbers, please send us an email with your rosary information and we will try to add support for it in the next version.

Is the mRosary available on devices other than iPhone and iPod Touch ?

No, it is currently not available, but based on the feedback received, we are planning to create a similar application for other mobile devices.

Are there any suggested books on this subject ?

Each tradition has its own books on this subject. If you have some books to recommend, please send us an email, and we can add it to the list below.

"Tune in the Mind (Japa Gayatri)" by Swami Chinmayananda.

"The Mantram Handbook" by Eknath Easwaran.
